This Dutch producer creates some really underground Dubstep sounds. I went to one of his sets a couple of months ago and experienced one hell of a night. There is a definite bass overload in his music which I enjoy a lot.
I have a great rock band for you this morning. Dewolff is a Dutch band of young musicians who play old school rock like they were born in the sixties and raised with artists like Hendrix, Deep Purple and Santana. I love the sound of their Hammond organ, it reminds me of the old times when rock music was at it´s best. Dewolff became famous in Holland because of their energetic concerts. They roam all the festivals to spread the music, if it depends on me they would take their music to a wider audience and go worldwide.
A friend of mine tipped me on this one. The Glitch Mob is a trio from LA with one released album "Drink The Sea". They just founded their one label "Glass Air Records", I hope they will get a new release out themselves to promote their new label. The best way to describe their music is EPIC! It gives me the feeling I can beat everyone at everything, definitely a plus for me.
My last post for the day is soul music in a modern way. Produced by Danger Mouse, one half of Gnarls Barkley, they mix the old soul feeling with modern music. The result is a great debut album called "Mondo". "This Head I Hold" is the first single of the album and makes for a catchy song which definitely made me interested in more.
Something quite different from my last post. BADBADNOTGOOD has an extremely chill jazz sound. The trio have releases to free albums which I both enjoy a lot. I noticed them because of their collaboration with Odd Future and Tyler, the Creator. They have been producing some beats for them and also did some shows with Tyler. I hope they will continue to releasing lots of tracks. The simplicity and yet depth in jazz is why it attracts me so much.
First of all welcome to my brand new blog. This is my first post on my first blog. It's all new to me, but I'll do my best to make this work. I'll begin telling something about myself. I am an 18 year old student from Holland and I started this blog because of my passion for music. I keep track of lots of sorts of music from rap to house and jazz to indie. I try to spread the music within my group of friends and thought: Why don't I take this to the next level. So that's the reason for this blog.
